I’ve spent more than 15 years growing Modern Law from a tiny office in Mesa into a multi-location family law firm known for compassion, clarity, and real innovation. I didn’t set out to become a “legal disruptor.” I just wanted families to have the legal help my own family didn’t have, guidance grounded in empathy, honesty, and real strategy.
Along the way, I learned how to build strong teams, design healthier systems, serve clients better, and make legal services more accessible. I also learned how hard leadership can be, and how much lighter it feels when you have the right tools and the right people.

I believe law firms can be both strong and human.
Modern Law started because I knew families deserved more than confusing answers, hidden fees, or intimidating systems. I’d watched my own family go through a hard divorce without support — and I promised myself I’d build something different.
That promise shaped everything that came next:
